Hello, everyone. It is time for us to begin today\’s English Worship Service. I warmly welcome all of you. I hope that you have really good and meaningful time through the service.
During the last week, there have been various good news and bad news. Myself, finished a spring semester. I am grading now, but already summer vacation has started. I hope all of you have wonderful summer vacations.
For a month starting from these days, it is a monsoon season. In Korea 80% of rainfalls are coming in these two months time. We have to prepare for the damages from flooding and landslide.
Now, in Korea, hot debates are going on regarding relocating capital city functions from Seoul to a new city in the south. With positive and negative multiplier effects and some debates on procedures, nobody can easily say that the decision is right or wrong.
Korean military forces will be sent to Iraq next month. The date was recently decided. Even though some debates are going on regarding on the war, obviously, brutal killings are continuing in Iraq. I hope that our soldiers accomplish their duties very well. I hope that the killings to be stopped as soon as possible.
Still many North Korean families try to escape from the North. They normally escape to China and try to come to South Korea through the help of foreign embassies. But many times their trials are failed because Chinese police catch them and send them back to North Korea. We have to pray for them to be salved from their difficult situations. We have to pray continuously that North Korea will be lead in the ways of God.
There are still so many people who do not know our Lord Jesus Christ. There are so many people who are suffering from poverty, illness, depressions, and wars. We have to pray for them. We have to pray for peaceful lives of all the people. Let\’s pray.
Heavenly Father. We want to thank you that we have such a beautiful place to praise you and worship you together. Through the service, we want to open our hearts, and confess our sins. We sincerely want to share your words together.
Father, now in this world evil prospers, falsehood reigns. Father, help us to be honest in all we do and say. We want to admit that we are sinners. We want to believe in Jesus for forgiveness. We want to learn to be humble. We want to learn to take away our sinful prides. We want to confess that Jesus is our Lord.
We love You Lord, we want to do what is pleasing in your sight. We always make Your will our choices. Father, we want to understand that the only way to overcome all these falsehoods and temptations that we face is just to focus on the Lord, who strengthens us by his grace.
Father, for many our church members, summer vacation is already started. We hope that all the members have meaningful summer for rest, visiting families, and job searches. We also hope that this summer is time for us to improve the relationships with You, Jesus through bible studies, prayer meetings, and helping other people in misery.
We sincerely want to pray for the peaceful solutions of war in Iraq and peaceful lives of North Koreans. We want to pray for the neighbors who do not know you and who are suffering from illness, financial hardships, and other various difficulties.
We want to pray for that all the people in this world find comforts and rejoice in your salvation. When we are facing trobles or tragedies seem near, we have to know that Jesus is the only one to drive away our fears. Father, we want to lay our burdens at Your feet and we want to find this inner peace being so sweet.
Thank you Father, you send us today\’s preacher Eric Enlaw. Through his preach, we want to learn to hear Your voice. We all want to meet you, and understand your love for us. We prayed in the name of Jesus, A-men.
