Hello, everyone. It is wonderful to meet you again at the English Worship Service at the Bukbu Church. Our worship service starts on 2:00PM on Sunday. Please invite more friends, especially persons from other countries and get associated each other and worship together.
Specially, today is an Easter Sunday. We normally call it Easter. It is the day when our Father Jesus Christ resurrected from the dead three days after, died at the Golgoda. As you already know, this event of resurrection is the most important issue for Christians. It is a proof of our God\’s activities and a hope for us.
Before Easter, Christians prepare for it for 40 days. And we celebrate the Easter and thinking about Jesus Christ, His death and blood for us, and his resurrection. The story of resurrection is described and mentioned in the bible 104 times.
On Easter, we normally eat beautifully colored eggs together, celebrating resurrection of Jesus as a chicken break out from the egg shell as a new life.
Let\’s think about the meaning of Easter and resurrection of Jesus Christ today. His resurrection obviously gave us a firm beliefs that we can have eternal lives, escape from eternal death.
Let\’s pray. Heavenly Father. We really thank that You created us human beings. You gave us daily bread. You gave us for hope on eternal lives. Today on Easter, we want to think about and meditate on the meaning of Easter.
At the Golgoda, You died for us. We remember your blood and sufferings at the cross. We want to keep this scene for our lives, in everyday lives… You died for us. You died because of our sins.
We want confess that through daily lives, we frequently forget your teachings and the events at the Gologoda. We are committing numerous sins and indulged in various temptations in the world. Father, forgive our sins and mis-behaviors. As Your teachings say, we want to find ourselves in Jesus Christ again.
Father, we know that You resurrected from the dead three days later. Your resurrection gave us the hope for eternal lives. You show us the way to our eternal lives. We want understand that sufferings and difficulties in this world not to be avoided. They are great means of love from you. The sufferings are to be overcome with the passion of Jesus Christ. Through overcoming the sufferings with the firm beliefs on You, we know that we will have eternal lives under Your shoulder.
Father, we all humbly praise You. We pray for You to make us faithfully strong. Please keep us in your sight. We want to stay in your loving arms. Father, we love You, with all our hearts. We want to obtain our eternal lives by you.
